All members of the La Salle community are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Br. Bob Kinzler, ‘77, AVP for Student Advocacy and Support.  

On Wednesday, December 10, a Visitation and Mass will be held in the De La Salle Chapel on the lower level of College Hall.  

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., and Mass will begin at 6 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after in the Union Ballroom.  

The Christian Brothers are appreciative of the support, kind words, and messages that they’ve received as the Explorer community grieves this loss.

As we look forward to Christmas, the advent season is a time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God. To aid in preparation, students, faculty, and staff share daily reflections through an advent calendar coordinated through University Ministry.

Throughout the year, we celebrate the wide array of individuals, groups, and cultures at La Salle by calling to mind various holidays, observances, and commemorative days that provide our campus with an opportunity to learn and to become involved as they desire. Learn more about the recognitions taking place across the globe and throughout the country during the month of December, including: 

• December 8: Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary  

• December 10: International Human Rights Day  

• December 12: The Feast of Our Lady Guadalupe 

• December 14: First day of Hanukkah 

• December 25: Christmas 

• December 26: First day of Kwanzaa 

Monday – Thursday at 1 p.m.  

Daily Mass will take place from Monday through Thursday in the De La Salle Chapel. 

Monday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. 

There will be a Mass for the Solemnity of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in the De La Salle Chapel. Mass will be preceded by a candlelight procession from the Lourdes Grotto on Hansen Quad to the Chapel. After Mass, all Explorers are invited to a social in the Chapel Lounge with Christmas music.  

Sunday at 5 p.m. 

Mass will take place every Sunday in the De La Salle Chapel.
