Dear Explorers and friends,
As we move beyond the joy and renewal of the Easter season, we are reminded of the promise and growth at La Salle University. We continue to flourish with the incredible accomplishments happening all around us, from award-winning recognition to inspiring milestones that reflect the incredible spirit at 20th and Olney.
I am proud to share some highlights as La Salle continues to set new benchmarks in academic excellence, philanthropy, and community spirit.
-
Back-to-Back Gold Medal Wins: La Salle once again topped our peers in the Philly Favorites competition hosted by The Philadelphia Inquirer, securing the gold for the second year in a row. This recognition showcases our vibrant community's support and our unique contributions to the Philadelphia region.
-
Record-Breaking Day of Giving: Thanks to our alumni, faculty, staff, and students, La Salle achieved an historic Day of Giving raising more than $1.9 million. Your generous support empowers us to continue fostering excellence in education and service for our students.
-
Top Ranking for the School of Business: La Salle’s School of Business has been ranked among the nation’s best in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings. This recognition speaks to the dedication and quality of our academic programs and faculty.
-
Honoring Distinguished Educators: We recently celebrated the 2025 Distinguished Lasallian Educators, whose exceptional contributions to teaching and service embody our core mission.
As we highlight these exciting achievements, we are also eagerly anticipating the upcoming commencement ceremonies on May 10. We are looking forward to honoring the class of 2025 and are blessed to have distinguished speakers who will no doubt inspire all of us.
Finally, we continue to extend our heartfelt prayers for the repose of Pope Francis's soul, honoring his legacy of leadership and inspiration. Please take a moment to read a personal reflection by Brother Bob Schieler who had the privilege of interacting and even influencing the Pope during his time as superior general.
As always, thank you for being an essential part of La Salle’s continued success. We look forward to celebrating even more milestones together.
Sincerely,
Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
