Last week, Adia Brown, ‘27, MPH ‘28, combined her love of art and public health for an on-campus art exhibition and panel discussion held in the La Salle University Art Museum. Learn more about the event’s inception here.  

Groups are invited to volunteer for the Broad Street Run, happening on May 3, 2026! 

The Broad Street Run will provide community service hours, or a stipend for clubs and organizations that participate. Clubs and organizations will receive a stipend of $20 per group member that registers and completes their chosen assignment (e.g. 10 members of the club participating = $200 for the club). 

There are different times and task requirements available all day along the race route.

Mission and Heritage Week will take place from April 26 through May 1. This week of events gives the University community an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the mission and core values we all share.

Throughout the year, we celebrate the wide array of individuals, groups, and cultures at La Salle by calling to mind various holidays, observances, and commemorative days that provide our campus with an opportunity to learn and to become involved as they desire. Learn more about the recognitions taking place across the globe and throughout the country during the month of April, including:

• April 13: Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) 

• April 22: Earth Day  

• April 30: St. John Baptist de La Salle’s Birthday 

Monday – Thursday at 1 p.m.  

Daily Mass will take place from Monday through Thursday in the De La Salle Chapel.

Tuesday, April 14 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. Show your support for survivors by signing a teal ribbon in the Union Lobby and learn more about what you can do to prevent sexual violence.  

Herren Talks  

Tuesday, April 14 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.  

Student Development and Campus Life will host former NBA player and recovery advocate Chris Herren, who will share his story and talk about founding Herren Wellness, a residential health and wellness program that helps guests lead healthy, substance-free lives. The talk will be held in Founders’ Hall. Learn more and RSVP here.   

Light Up the Night  

Tuesday, April 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2026, join Student Wellness Services of the Union Patio for an event to celebrate and support survivors. There will be a bonfire, s’mores, and a craft to help light up the night. This event is a safe and open space for all La Salle community members to gather.

Black Maternal Health Panel

Join the School of Nursing and Health Sciences in Founders' Hall for an insightful panel discussion on Black maternal health, exploring the challenges, disparities, and solutions to improve outcomes for Black mothers and babies. Speakers include Shawana S. Moore, Ph.D., DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, FNAP, FAAN, FNPWH, associate professor and director of the DNP Program at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Alexia Doumbouya, MSL, certified Doula, CBE, CMHA, president of Cocolife.black, Kianna Little, MPH, associate director of community health programs at the Maternity Care Coalition, and John Taylor, Ph.D., M.Ed., MACC, LPC, assistant professor of public health at La Salle.
