Dear Explorers and friends,
I hope you and your family had a happy Thanksgiving.
This time of year allows me to reflect on all the things to be thankful for at La Salle University, including our annual tradition of students and staff who served our first responders from Philadelphia Police Department’s 14th and 35th police precincts.
We are providing a wealth of experiences to our students, faculty, and staff. This includes international partnerships that align with our Ascend 2028 strategic plan. We have joined with our fellow Lasallian institution to reestablish Istituto Convitto Jesus Magister Consortium (ICJM Consortium) and began an exchange program with De La Salle Lipa, located in Lipa, Batangas, Philippines. These collaborations not only bring academic offerings, but space for professional development, research and teaching opportunities, and cultural experiences.
Our greater University community continues to support the University. A gift from Gregg Ciocca of Ciocca Dealers to La Salle’s Early Achievement Program (LEAP) gives high school students the opportunity to take college courses before becoming a full-time undergraduate student.
When we return from the winter break, we will be welcoming the first cohort of 16 students into our standalone post BSN to DNP nurse anesthesia program. We received good news earlier this month when the program received an initial five-year accreditation.
Finally, thank you to all of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families who supported the annual Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28.
I remain grateful for our La Salle community and am excited to continue to strengthen our University together.
Sincerely,
Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
