A first-gen celebration

Each year on Nov. 8, universities around the country celebrate National First-Gen College Student Day—a date marked to recognize the successes of those who were and are the first in their families to attend college.

Biology major has the ‘write’ stuff

Nhi Nguyen, ’22, noticed a gap in early education: A workbook that could guide children who are learning how to write through disability or injury. So last summer, she wrote, illustrated, and published one herself. Learn more about Nguyen, a future occupational therapist.
