This Week at La Salle

Dear Explorers and friends,

It's a great time to be an Explorer!

While the semester may be winding down, I can tell you that the fall has been marked with an amazing energy. For those who joined us on Homecoming Weekend for any of the terrific events, you were surrounded by alumni from all years and their families along with our faculty, staff, students, and Christian Brothers. A great time was had by all.

The new John Glaser Arena at TruMark Financial Center has proven to be a true homecourt advantage for our men's and women's basketball teams. The teams swept their doubleheader on Homecoming Weekend and are both off to great starts in this young season.

You will see below that the secret is out about La Salle (again). Metro Philly voters have named La Salle best in the region. This comes on the heels of The Philadelphia Inquirer's Philly Favorites competition win in April.

As we enter the holidays, know that great things are happening at 20th and Olney. The entire Explorer family of faculty, staff, students, Christian Brothers, and alumni are committed to the success of La Salle. I could not be prouder to be your President or more confident in our future.

Have a wonderful start to the holiday season.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
President
La Salle University

No matter how far Explorers travel, they can always find their way back home. Homecoming Weekend was a chance for all Explorers to return to La Salle and unite as an Explorer family. Photo Gallery

John E. Glaser Arena

The men's and women's basketball teams opened the season in historic fashion in the newly renovated John Glaser Arena at TruMark Financial Center. The Explorers swept the Homecoming Weekend doubleheader with the women knocking off the University of Delaware Blue Hens, 68-54, followed by the men's 81-60 victory over the Lafayette College Leopards. Go Explorers!
