La Salle set to ring in the Christmas and holiday season |
Join the Explorer community on Hansen Quad for festive fun and the lighting of 20th and Olney's new permanent Christmas tree.
La Salle's Holiday Village takes place on Monday, December 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature hot cocoa, carolers, photos with Santa, and other activities. |

Before Thanksgiving, members of Sigma Phi Lambda, La Salle's first fraternity, held their 15th annual Sig Phive K, a charity race that raises money for local children at La Salle Academy. 6abc was there to cover the race. |

As we look forward to Christmas, the advent season is a time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the son of God. To aid in preparation, students, faculty, and staff share daily reflections through an advent calendar coordinated through University Ministry. |

Mission and Ministry Toy Drive |
Share your Christmas Spirit by picking up a tag from trees around campus and getting a gift for local children this holiday season.
Instructions will be listed on or next to the trees which can be found in the Union Lobby, the Lower Level of College Hall (Chapel Lounge), the Connelly Library, St. Benilde Hall, and Founders’ Hall.
All gifts should be delivered to Mission and Ministry in the lower level of College Hall by Dec. 3.

Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service will be on Monday, January 9, 2026, from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Activities will include neighborhood clean-up in Wister Woods, Kemble Park, Olney Ave., and more locations and volunteering with local nonprofit organizations.
T-shirts and lunch will be provided.

Monday – Thursday at 1 p.m. Daily Mass will take place from Monday through Thursday in the De La Salle Chapel. Lessons and Carols Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. All are welcome to for an ecumenical Advent prayer service of Scripture and Song in anticipation of the celebration of Christmas. Sunday at 5 p.m. Mass will take place every Sunday in the De La Salle Chapel. Following Mass, there will be a blessing of the Nativity Scene followed by a Christmas Cookie and Hot Chocolate Social in the Chapel Lounge |

Life Sciences Symposium Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 12 to 2 p.m. La Salle science students will showcase poster presentations of research done over the Fall semester in the Dunleavy Room. The Life Sciences Symposium will feature both independent and course-based research experiences done in the laboratory classes. |
