Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with OLAS!

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Monday, Sept. 15 is the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month which culminates with a closing celebration on Wednesday, October 15. Keep an eye out for events throughout the month, including dance workshops, food sampling sessions, and movie screenings.

Building trust in public health

Through a summer internship sponsored by the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, nursing major Dang Nguyen, ‘26, worked as a public health and primary care nurse with Philadelphia’s vulnerable populations. Read more.

Throughout the year, we celebrate the wide array of individuals, groups, and cultures at La Salle by calling to mind various holidays, observances, and commemorative days that provide our campus with an opportunity to learn and to become involved as they desire. Union third floor open house

Head to The Union 3rd Floor Open House on Tuesday, September 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. to check out La Salle Recreation’s fitness room and gaming rooms, and the new Multicultural and International Center space. Everyone is welcome and light refreshments will be provided.

Parent and Family Weekend

Get ready for a weekend packed with Blue & Gold pride, family fun, and Philly adventures at Parent and Family Weekend 2025!


Lunch with President Allen, food trucks, movie screenings, Family Mass, and Explorers athletic competitions are just some of the events planned over the weekend. Learn more and explore helpful tips for planning the weekend.

Mass

Monday – Thursday at 1 p.m.  

Daily Mass will take place from Monday through Thursday in the De La Salle Chapel.


Sunday at 5 p.m. 

Weekly Mass will take place every Sunday in the De La Salle Chapel.

Deakin University Information Session

Monday, Sept. 15 from 2 to 3 p.m.

A representative from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, will be tabling on campus from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before giving an information session starting at 2 p.m. in the Music Room.

National Voter Registration Day 

Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating our democracy. There will be a table in the Union Lobby where students, faculty, and staff can register to vote or check their voter registration status and polling location.

Celebrate the Constitution’s 238th birthday with a panel discussion in the Holroyd Atrium, followed by refreshments and games with prizes.  

Don’t Sleep on Safety

In honor of National Campus Safety Awareness Month, stop by the Union Ballroom during free period to design a free pillowcase and get tips from our Department of Public Safety team on both staying safe and protecting others.

On-Campus Vaccine Clinic 

Thursday, Sept. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Student wellness is hosting two on-campus vaccine clinics in the Union Ballroom providing access to COVID-19 boosters, flu vaccines, and immunization services. The clinics are open to all La Salle community members. Reserve your spot here and contact studenthealth@lasalle.edu with questions.  

Public Safety Advisory Group (PSAG) 

Thursday, Sept. 18 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

All are welcome to join the PSAG in the McShain Boardroom to address the needs and concerns of the La Salle community members. PSAG will meet monthly throughout the semester following this first meeting.

An annual international Lasallian prayer and awareness-raising movement for peace and justice.

Olney Ave. Open House

Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Join representatives from the City of Philadelphia in the Holroyd Lobby to talk and share feedback about the Traffic Safety and Transit Improvement Project impacting Olney Ave and Chew Ave.
