Joanna McClinton

McClinton was the first woman elected Democratic Caucus Chair, the first woman elected Democratic Leader, and is Pennsylvania’s first woman House Speaker. Read more. She will be honored at this year’s Women in Leadership Award Luncheon. For more information and tickets, click here.  

La Salle University Art Museum

The funding will be used to upgrade lighting throughout the museum, helping to preserve the artwork and enhance the visitor experience. Read more.  

Maggie Lefavor

As part of La Salle University’s Nutrition Program, Maggie Lefavor, ‘17, MS, RDN, LDN, CEDS, made lifelong connections and landed her dream job. Read more.  

Groups are invited to volunteer for the Broad Street Run, happening on May 3, 2026! 


The Broad Street Run will provide community service hours, or a stipend for clubs and organizations that participate. Clubs and organizations will receive a stipend of $20 per group member that registers and completes their chosen assignment (e.g. 10 members of the club participating = $200 for the club). 


There are different times and task requirements available all day along the race route.

Help Us Restock the Basket @ Union and Benilde! 

Join Explorers CARE in a four‑week campaign to restock the Basket and support students who rely on this resource throughout the year. Your contributions—big or small—make a meaningful difference. 

How to Support: 

  • Drop-Off Donations: High‑need items include non‑perishable foods, spices, household supplies, and personal care products. Drop-off locations:

    • Union Info Center

    • Basket in Benilde (ground floor) 

  • Monetary Donations: Support the purchase of gift cards and essential items. Visit the Office of Student Advocacy and Support (Lawrence Building, 4th Floor) or email reels@lasalle.edu to coordinate.

The season of Lent invites us to spiritual growth and renewal, through intentional practices, Lent aims to deepen faith, and align one's life with Jesus' teachings, to foster inner transformation. During the 40 days of Lent, leading to Easter, Father Frank will share weekly reflections coordinated by University Mission and Ministry.

Throughout the year, we celebrate the wide array of individuals, groups, and cultures at La Salle by calling to mind various holidays, observances, and commemorative days that provide our campus with an opportunity to learn and to become involved as they desire. Learn more about the recognitions taking place across the globe and throughout the country during the month of March, including:

Campus Events

Daily Mass will take place from Monday through Thursday in the De La Salle Chapel. 


Student Initiative Mass for the Feast of the Annunciation  

Wednesday, March 25 at 7:15 p.m. 

Everyone is invited to the De La Salle Chapel for a student-centered and student-planned liturgy, followed by fellowship and refreshments.  

  

Sunday at 5 p.m. 

Mass will take place every Sunday in the De La Salle Chapel.

Join La Salle’s Psychology Department for the 42nd Annual Grimes-Burke Lecture in the Founders’ Hall Auditorium and Atrium to hear featured speaker Derald Wing Sue, Ph.D., a professor of psychology and education at Columbia University. Hear Sue discuss his work, connect with fellow psychology enthusiasts, learn from experts in the field, and expand your knowledge on the topic. The first of a series dedicated to the University community pausing, reflecting, and reconnecting with one another through teaching and learning that is fully present and technology-free. Faculty and students are encouraged to step away from laptops, tablets, and phones during class time and to engage instead in discussion, dialogue, hands-on activities, reflection, and creative approaches to learning that do not rely on digital tools.
