This Week at La Salle

Dear Explorers and friends,

As we near the end of another academic year, La Salle is celebrating all we’ve accomplished.

On April 10, Explorers came together and raised a record-breaking $1.4 million on the 11 annual Day of Giving. Through more than 1,700 gifts from generous donors, we achieved the fourth-consecutive year in which La Salle’s Day of Giving surpassed the philanthropic threshold of $1 million. I want to thank you for your support of La Salle and helping us continue to provide a high-quality education that prepares our students for an ever-changing world.

Looking ahead, La Salle is only continuing to improve our student experience. Alongside Vice President of Athletics & Recreation and Director of Athletics Ashwin Puri, I announced the addition of four varsity sports programs for the 2025-26 school year. We will also grow our cheerleading and dance squads, as well as add a band program. These additions will enhance the on-campus La Salle experience and increase our opportunities for fan experience at athletic competitions.

And our Explorers want Philadelphia and the world to know the impact a La Salle education can have on our students. Through a fan-voted competition, we received gold in the colleges and universities category of The Philadelphia Inquirer Philly Favorites competition.

As final exams and Commencement Weekend approach, I encourage you to learn more about the impact La Salle makes on its community.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
President
