Commemorating the Americans with Disabilities Act

This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was signed into law in the USA on July 26, 1990. It was the first comprehensive declaration of equality for people with disabilities in the world. The ADA has been influential in moving the USA closer to the promise of equal opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for the millions of individuals with disabilities in our country. Learn more.
