This Week at La Salle

Dear Explorers and friends,

As we look toward the New Year, I am reflecting on all that we have accomplished at La Salle in 2023.

One of our top accomplishments was the launch of Ascend, our strategic plan for 2023-2028. The six pillars of this plan, including rigorous academics, international partnerships, and career readiness, will make us the leading Lasallian educational institution, rooted in the liberal arts and aligned with emerging industries. We will continue to prepare students for the challenges and complexities of living and working in a diverse democracy and global society.

We also saw a record-breaking fundraising year for the 2022-2023 academic year. The gifts to the University, including all cash and pledges, during the fiscal year that ended May 31, 2023, were the largest total in the last 20 years—surpassing $17 million. We also successfully completed the Charter Challenge, a fundraising initiative with a goal of $10 million during the 2022-23 academic year, with 4,337 donors participating. Thank you!

These items, along with the announcement of new programs, like the post BSN to DNP nurse anesthesia program, and collaborations with other Lasallian institutions, like De La Salle Lipa, located in Lipa, Batangas, Philippines and La Salle Ramon Llull University, located in Barcelona, Spain, are proof our University continues to grow and prosper.

I hope you are just as excited as I am to see what the next year brings to La Salle!

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
President
La Salle University
